Stratford boys basketball nails down home win over Assumption

STRATFORD – The Stratford boys basketball team took care of business at home Thursday night, pulling out to a 13-point halftime lead and defeating Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 60-44 in a Marawood Conference South Division matchup at Stratford High School.

Drew Bruesewitz and Payton Glenn each made three 3-pointers and scored 15 and 11 points, respectively, and Henry Zaleski chipped in 12 in the victory for the Tigers.

Stratford improves to 12-4 overall and 7-3 in the Marawood South, while Assumption falls to 5-10 and 3-7 in conference play. Assumption statistics were not provided.

Stratford hosts Colby for a nonconference game Friday at 7:15 p.m.
