Stratford boys basketball sinks 17 3-pointers, slams Colby

STRATFORD – The Stratford boys basketball team had its offense cooking on Friday night as it made 17 3-pointers and rolled to an 82-50 nonconference win over Colby at Stratford High School.

Brady Schmidt was 8-for-12 from 3-point range and scored a career-high 26 points to lead the barrage for the Tigers. Reid Miller added four 3s and 16 points, and Drew Bruesewitz had three longballs and 12 points in the win.

Stratford improves to 13-4 this season and will be back in action Tuesday with a Marawood Conference South Division game at Edgar. The two teams are tied for third place in the conference standings at 7-3.
