MARSHFIELD – Wausau East scored three early goals and went on to a 7-1 win over Marshfield in Wisconsin Valley Conference boys soccer action Tuesday at Griese Park.
Henry Knuckles, Zong Chang and Nick Sorenson scored between the 7:50 and 16:44 marks of the first half to give the Lumberjacks a commanding lead.
Wausau East moves to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, while Marshfield falls to 1-4 and 0-3 in the conference.
Marshfield plays at Merrill in a WVC game at 5 p.m. Thursday.
