VERONA – Marshfield senior Mike Field followed his first-round 88 with an 89 on Tuesday in the second and final round of the WIAA State Boys Golf Tournament at University Ridge Golf Club.

Field finished in a three-way tie for 86th place with his two-day score of 177, 33-over par.

Like Monday’s first round, Field started his round on the back nine – and it didn’t start well.

Field, who triple bogeyed the 10th on Monday, had a double bogey 6. He birdied the par-5 11th hole for the second day in a row, but again it was his only birdie of the day.

Field shot a 41 on the back nine and had a 48 on the front nine. He had a triple bogey on the first hole and followed that with five straight bogeys and two double bogeys. He pared No. 9, his final hole of the round.

Mike Schilling of Middleton shot a 75 to finish at 4-over par for the tournament and won the individual title by one shot over Robbie Jacobsen of Racine Horlick. John Gulbert of Racine Case and Sam Weber of Hartland Arrowhead tied for third at 7-over par.

Arrowhead came from two shots back to win its fourth-straight Division 1 state team title with a two-day score of 618, three shots better than Milwaukee Marquette and four ahead of Middletno.

Madison Edgewood won the Division 2 team title with a 636, two shots ahead of Appleton Xavier. Charlie Danielson of Osceloa shot a 2-under par 70 to finish at 5-under par 139 to take the Division 2 individual title by six shots over Josh Udelhofen of Platteville.

Nate Strigenz of Fond du Lac St. Mary’s Springs won the Division 3 individual title with a two-day total of 9-over par 153, four shots ahead of Mitch Sobatta of Arcadia.

Arcadia won the team title with a 673, four shots ahead of Fond du Lac St. Mary’s Springs.
