MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team advanced to the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference State Tournament with a 77-64 win over UW-Richland on Wednesday in the second round of the state playoffs.
Matt Grunewald scored 15 points, Leo Braun added 13 points and Jesse Bejcek had 13 points and 13 rebounds for the Marauders (19-4).
Marshfield will play UW-Manitowoc at UW-Marathon County on Saturday in the WCC state semifinals at 6 p.m. The winner moves on to the championship game at 2 p.m. on Sunday against the winner of UW-Fox Valley and UW-Barron County.
