MARSHFIELD – Sophie Koehn won the 200 freestyle and Elizabeth Holbrook took first in the 100 breaststroke for Marshfield’s only two wins in a 114-56 loss to Wisconsin Rapids in a Wisconsin Valley Conference girls swimming dual meet Thursday at Marshfield High School.
Wisconsin Rapids won the other nine events to take the dual meet by a score of 114-56. Rapids is 2-1 and Marshfield 1-2 in WVC duals this season.
Koehn won the 200 free in 2:11.96 and Holbook was first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:17.47 for the Tigers.
Koehn also took second in the 50 free (27.52), Holbrook was second in the 100 butterfly (1:10.60), and Ryenne Zee was second in both the 200 IM (2:30.33) and the 500 free (6:03.61) for Marshfield.
Marshfield’s team of Koehn, Zee, Holbrook and Megan Donahue was also second in the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
Marshfield’s next meet is Oct. 1 at Wausau East. The meet will be held at Horace Mann Middle School in Wausau.
