Marshfield tennis whips Tomah

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys tennis team won six of seven matches, five in straight sets, to beat Tomah 6-1 in a nonconference match Monday at Boson Courts.

The Tigers’ No. 3 doubles team of John Weiss and Zach Ott had the most dominating performance of the match for Marshfield, beating Patric Schroeder and David Granger 6-2, 6-0.

Jacob Twardowski won the only three-set match, beating Tyler Welch 0-6, 7-5, 6-1 for the Tigers.

Marshfield returns to Wisconsin Valley Conference action Tuesday at D.C. Everest.
