Marshfield Senior Legion baseball loses to Green Bay Southwest in opening game of Eau Claire Tournament

EAU CLAIRE – Marshfield scored three times in the first inning but couldn’t stop Green Bay Southwest and lost its opening game of the Eau Claire Legion Tournament 10-4 on Friday at Carson Park.

Southwest scored in each of its first four at-bats to pull away.

Brock Bennington had a two-run home run, and Trevor Foemmel had a pair of hits and two RBI for Marshfield, which falls to 3-12 after dropping its sixth-straight game.

Marshfield will play a pair of games at the tournament on Saturday, taking on Winona LeJetz (Minn.) at 10 a.m. and host Eau Claire at 8 p.m.
