Stratford’s Kaiser wins high jump at West Indoor

WAUSAU – Stratford’s Karissa Kaiser won the high jump and was sixth in the 400-meter run to lead the Tigers on Thursday at the Wausau West Warrior Girls Indoor Invitational.

Kaiser jumped 5-feet to win the high jump and finished the 400 in 1:08.23 to account for 13 of the Tigers’ 17 points at the meet as Stratford finished ninth. Host Wausau West won the meet with 138.833 points, with Edgar second at 118 and Stevens Point third with 100.

Stratford was sixth in the 4×295-meter relay as Alyssa Fisher, Christina Orth, Josie Kolbeck and Carrie Stroetz finished in 3:21.73.

The Tigers’ 1,600 relay team of Kaiser, Orth, Danielle Leffel and Julia Boushon accounted for Stratford’s final point, taking eighth with a time of 4:56.23.

Stratford will participate in the Pittsville Invitational on Monday.
