Marathon baseball clinches Marawood South title with rout of Auburndale

AUBURNDALE – Four Auburndale pitchers combined to allow 11 hits and 13 walks in a 20-0 loss to Marathon in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball game Tuesday at Auburndale High School.

Nick Blume had a five-inning complete game for Marathon, striking out four and walking just one. He allowed only two hits – singles by Troy Kollross and Kyle Willfahrt. Blume also added a home run for the Raiders, who improve to 16-2 and 13-0 in the Marawood South, clinching the South Division championship.

Auburndale falls to 2-17, 1-12 in the conference with its Marawood South finale slated for Thursday at home against Wisconsin Rapids Assumption.
