Columbus boys keep on winning

AUGUSTA – Tyler Mancl hit three 3-pointers and scored 17 points to lead the Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team to a 52-46 win over Augusta in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday at Augusta High School.

Paul Selz added 12 points and David Green chipped in with 10 points for the Dons. Dodge Langreck added eight points, four assists, three steals and three rebounds. Green and Jared Boyle led the Dons with five rebounds each.

With the victory, the Dons maintain their one-game lead in the Cloverbelt East standings. Columbus improves to 14-1 overall and 11-1 in conference play. Spencer defeated Granton 53-34 on Tuesday and remains one game behind at 10-2.

Augusta falls to 7-8, 3-8 in the Cloverbelt East.
